Construction crews will close eastbound Interstate 70 tonight between Central Park Boulevard and Peoria Street, just east of downtown, which could make delays worse after 7 p.m. on Dec. 19.
They'll close just one of the eastbound lanes at 7 p.m., two lanes at 9 p.m., three lanes at 11 p.m. and a full closure at 11:30 p.m.
The detour will be East 47th Avenue. The closure is happening so crews can remove a large sign from the highway. What does the sign say? I do not know.
