Denver police have arrested a suspect in a fatal stabbing that occurred early Christmas morning.

Denver police announced the arrest via Twitter around 11 a.m. They did not identify the suspect, but they did confirm that he was one of two people transported to the hospital from the crime scene with serious injuries. The suspect is currently in critical condition.

Details are still pretty scarce in this killing. Denver police responded to a fatal stabbing on the 1400 block of Pearl Street around 2 a.m. Sunday.

At that time, two other people were transported to the hospital with injuries that appeared serious, Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson said.

Denver police characterized the situation as "still a very active investigation."

Additional updates were not available Sunday.
