Upscale steak and seafood chain McCormick & Schmick’s is closing its downtown Denver location inside The Oxford Hotel.
Denver Business Journal reports that Sage Hospitality, which runs the hotel, will replace it with another steakhouse, Urban Farmer.
McCormick & Schmick’s has been there for more than 20 years, but when the lease was up in 2016, Sage decided it was time for something new.
It sounds like Urban Farmer will be exactly what it you’d expect. Denver Business Journal describes it as “a modern take on the steakhouse that emphasizes local sourcing and in-house butchering.”
Sage, a Denver-based restaurant group, has already opened Urban Farmer three locations around the country. The first opened at a Sage hotel in Portland in 2008. There are also locations at Sage hotels in Cleveland and Philadelphia.
