The Broncos fans in charge of Shinesty.com weren’t happy about Dontari Poe’s TD pass

Sometimes you just have to respect pettiness.

Shinesty.com is a retro online clothing site that specializes in '80s-themed gear. One of the products they sell is a jacket emblazoned with NFL team logos.

Here's their Broncos jacket:

It's on sale. $74.99 is more than I would pay for a Broncos tablecloth fashioned into a sports coat, but hey, you gotta do you.

Most of the jackets on the site cost $74.99. You can get any of them for under $100. But there is one exception: Shinesty.com's Kansas City Chiefs jacket, which will set you back $212.85.

Why does the Chiefs jacket cost so much more than the others? It turns out the folks at Shinesty.com, a Boulder-based company that's been around since September 2014, were motivated by Kansas City knocking the Broncos out of the playoff picture on Christmas Day.

Shinesty.com co-founder Chris White and content and marketing coordinator Ben Lauderdale said they didn't appreciate Chiefs 350-pound nose tackle Dontari Poe running up the score with a touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter.

Kansas City wound up beating Denver 33-10. The loss ensured the Broncos would miss the playoffs for the first time since 2010.

“Bush league," White said of Poe's throw. "We had to give a little jab to Chiefs fans everywhere.”

That came in the form of jacked-up jacket prices. Shinesty.com dropped prices for most of the jackets on their site this weekend. They even gave about 25 Cleveland Browns jackets away for free because they felt bad for Browns fans. The price of the Chiefs jackets, however, was raised 115 percent.

"We didn’t think of it (the sale) until this weekend," said White, who added that many on staff at Shinesty are friends with Broncos kicker Brandon McManus. "We were like, 'Let’s do a sale. We’ll do some teams with special numbers.' But we said, 'Screw the Chiefs.'"

Very petty, but I respect the move wholeheartedly.
