Huge music festival for Denver?

Two of the biggest organizers on the festival circuit may bring tens of thousands of people across multiple days to Overland Park Golf Course. They'll take community input on Wednesday. (Denverite)

Denver's next little weed fights:

Airbnb scofflaws:

Amy DiPierro reports that only 26 percent of the short-term landlords in Denver have licenses as required. The city is trying to figure out how to make it easier to pay taxes on the rentals. (BusinessDen)

How Colorado's first black high-school principal made integration work:

“I don’t know why desegregation worked so well at Manual (High School.) Maybe it was because, for a change, the white kids were bused into the black community." Great story here by Anne Hebert. (Front Porch Stapleton)

Do some stuff:

This week's tech event roundup, compiled by Jess Ryan, includes Internet of Things security, virtual-reality art at Syntax and an introduction to visual design. Yes, please. (Built In Colorado)

Also, you could watch The Princess Bride with actor Cary Elwes this spring. Tickets on sale Friday. (Denverite)

You also could finally get on board with well-loved local podcast "These Things Matter" in its final two months.  (Denverite)

Trump stuff:

Hickenlooper hates the refugee ban, there's a really good chance the next Supreme Court justice is from Boulder (so learn about him!), the Trump administration may fund I-25 and I-70 projects, Trump is still hassling Lockheed, one Colorado legislator likes Trump's ban, Trump is still president. New light rail this month:

The R Line will bring something new to the transit system: It will connect two major lines, allowing riders down south a much quicker route to the A Line to the airport. It also will bring service much deeper into suburban Aurora. It's set to open this month, according to Cathy Proctor. (DBJ)
