Officers were investigating the killing of a man near the light-rail station on the 1100 block of Sheridan Boulevard early this morning, according to the Denver Police Department.

The department first tweeted about the killing at 2:34 a.m. today, Feb. 7. The station was temporarily closed this morning, sending passengers onto buses again, but the line was reopened as of about 6:40 a.m., according to RTD.

9News reported that the person had been killed by a gunshot. On its newscast, the organization said that its reporters had seen a man handcuffed and put into the back of a police van, but DPD has not confirmed whether any suspect is in custody.

Update: Denver police shared an image of two suspects. Anyone with relevant information is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.

It should go without saying, but is worth reiterating: they are armed and dangerous.
