Pedestrian struck by light-rail train near Auraria

A person was transported to a hospital in unknown condition after being struck by a light-rail train at Colfax Avenue and 9th Street, just south of Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Initial police reports indicate the person was on foot when they were struck, around 7 p.m. last night. An investigation is ongoing.

Further information wasn’t immediately available. No delays were in place as of 7:10 a.m., according to RTD.
