Star Wars and the Power of Costume is in its last week at the Denver Art Museum, with its final day scheduled for this Sunday, April 9, and tickets for the weekend are selling out fast.
The exhibit includes 70 original costumes from the film series, along with several explorations of the design process. Most importantly, it has Chewbacca. (And other featured costumes that are listed here.)
Anyway, I’m pretty sure this exhibit has done bonkers number for the museum, and this last week is no exception.
As of Monday afternoon, all Saturday shows before 5 p.m. are sold out, and all but one Sunday slot are booked.
The time slots are 90 minutes and cost $28 for adults, $5 for kids, with member discounts as applicable. The weekdays remain largely open.
Tickets are available here. For an interesting, critical review of the exhibit, check out Ray Mark Rinaldi’s piece. He says that the “whole show is built on nostalgia,” with “hardly a single moment of authentic challenge or enlightenment.”
But, still: Chewie is the best, and he will rip your arms off if you disagree.
