A man is dead following a shooting yesterday, April 3, on the 2800 block of Arapahoe Street in Curtis Park and no suspect has been arrested, according to the Denver Police Department. Police first publicized the shooting just before 3 p.m. on Monday.

In Whittier, a child was injured during a shooting on the 1400 block of East 30th Avenue late Monday night, police reported. The child sustained only a minor injury. No arrest has been made.

No further detail was available in either case. The Denver Post reports that northeast Denver saw a “surge” of violence in March.
