The city of Denver will host an NCAA men's basketball tournament regional round for the first time since the mid-90s. The NCAA announced Tuesday that the West Regional will be played on March 25 and 27 in 2021 at the Pepsi Center.

It will mark the first time since 1996 that Denver has held Sweet 16 and Elite Eight games.

Denver has played host to first- and second-round games four times, most recently in 2016.

The other four 2021 Regional rounds will be played in Brooklyn (Barclays Center), Memphis (FedEx Forum) and Minneapolis (Target Center). Indianapolis will host the Final Four that year.
