Ok, I'll admit it -- I love seeing what under $300,000 buys in Denver because it's the price range that I imagine for myself. This week, we've got a peek into Denver, Chicago, Richmond and Dallas.
Denver
- $245,000
- 1155 Ash St #507, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1,008 square feet
If I were buying a house, I think I'd be happy here. It's got a deck, something I've been coveting lately. Plus, there's an uncramped kitchen to enjoy.
Chicago
- $245,000
- 2049 W Ainslie Street Unit 3E, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, square feet not listed
Like Denver, there's a decent kitchen in this Chicago condo. But this place runs circles around Denver when it comes to windows -- there are a ton of them and some of them have the desirable southern and eastern orientation.
Richmond
- $245,000
- 212 E Clay Street Unit 4A, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1,396 square feet
Yesterday on Facebook, I was reminded of a friend who moved to Richmond. It sounded like a new emerging city, the kind that could support her nascent business. If I were to join her, I could live in this sun-dappled condo downtown with high ceilings.
Dallas
- $245,000
- 2514 W Jefferson Boulevard, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1,086 square feet
Dallas, you'll recall, recently unseated Denver in the Case-Shiller index measuring home price increases. So here's a look at what Dallas has to offer and it's pretty good. I'm partial to the lilac color of the walls and mudroom.
