Good news if you are an AT&T customer. The mobile phone company invested more than $320 million into enhancing Denver area wireless networks between 2014 and 2016 and now customers should start to see and hear the benefits.

According to the company, the improvements were targeted at areas that are typically crowded, causing customers to have poorer service. The company focused on adding antenna systems to boost mobile internet coverage in areas such as DIA’s Westin Hotel and Transit Center, Cherry Creek Mall and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

AT&T customers should also see a boost in data speeds throughout Denver in general. In a press release Roberta Robinette, the president of AT&T-Colorado, said, “These continued investments bring Mile High residents and businesses a host of new opportunities.”

The company also invested funds into upgrading LTE network capacity at Coors Field, Pepsi Center and Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Wireless networks typically become slower in crowded sports venues, especially Sports Authority Field.

“We’re investing to provide faster, more reliable, highly secure connectivity,” said Robinette in the press release. “We want customers to have internet access at any moment, from almost any device-anywhere.”

The investments should also improve coverage for first responders and public safety personnel, the company said.
