LAKEWOOD — Authorities say they have recovered the body of a paraglider who was killed after crashing on Green Mountain.

West Metro Fire officials say the man called 911 after crashing Friday night at about 8:30 p.m. in an area that was steep with loose rock.

Rescuers had to call off the search overnight because of the dark and the terrain.

The man’s body was located early Saturday and recovered late morning.

Details about the crash were not immediately available, and an investigation is underway.

Officials have not yet identified the man.
