If you need to visit your pile of secret money, climb every mountain or maybe just want a vacation, Denver International Airport will soon have a direct flight to Zurich.
Swiss airline Edelweiss announced that they will fly twice a week from Denver starting in June 2018.
Even if you're not planning to go to Zurich, there is, of course, all the tourist money that should be coming here.
“Swiss vacationers tend to spend more time and money than visitors from other countries," said Edelweiss CEO Bernd Bauer in a statement. "Our flights will bring approximately 7,500 visitors to Denver in 2018, generating an annual economic impact to the State of Colorado of more than $21 million.”
Denver is the second-largest U.S. market without nonstop service to Zurich, according to DIA, with nearly 50 people per day traveling between the two cities.
Here's some more of the specifics for one of these 50 people travelling today or the aviation geek in your life.
It's a seasonal flight from June 4 to October 26 that will leave on Mondays and Fridays. The plane is an Airbus A330-300 that seats 315 passengers. If you want to book one of these flights, you'll be able to do so via any of your normal flight booking avenues.
