Kenneth Faried’s fashion advice: “Don’t wear no Uggs”

Kenneth Faried appears to be having an enjoyable summer.

In May, the Denver Nuggets high-flying power forward visited India as a part of the NBA's effort to grow the game in the world's second-most populous country.

Then last week, Faried visited The Big Apple to participate in New York Fashion Week: Men's, where more than 50 brands showcase their spring 2018 collections. Faried actually got to walk the runway while he was there. During his trip, he also was asked what fashion advice he'd give the NBA's young guns.

"Don't wear no Uggs," Faried told the sports and fashion website More Th>n Stats.

You remember Uggs, right? Those Australian sheepskin boots and slippers teenage girls and Tom Brady used to rock. Apparently, Faried is not a fan.

"I done talked to some of my rookies before. You can ask Malik Beasley and Jamal Murray," he said. "I done told them, 'Don't wear no Uggs.' Like the Ugg slippers that cats be trying to wear and get away with on the plane, don't wear those. Because once you land in another city, you might see a bad chick somewhere. You want to make sure you're always fresh with your sweatsuit or whatever it is."

Faried was not in the room when Don Draper asked Roger Steling, "What do women want?" It's a shame that he wasn't because he could've helped the ad men cross Uggs off the list.

"People are watching you," Faried added. "And all them pictures and stuff. One of your teammates may have a bigger following than you and put you on that Snapchat ... ahh man, it's over. So make sure you fresh. That's all I'm saying."
