Denver International Airport will begin a months-long, $2.6 million project repairing Peña Boulevard on Thursday.
Work to repair and replace concrete on a 6-mile stretch of the highway approaching the airport will cause single- and double-lane closures at night.
Crews will be working Sundays through Thursdays, with repairs on the inbound side (to the airport) happening from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. and repairs on the outbound side happening from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
The speed limit in the construction zone will be reduced to 45 mph and, naturally, anyone traveling to the airport should allow themselves extra time to get there or consider taking the A Line.
The work is expected to last through Nov. 15.
