Best bet: First Friday Art Walk. The galleries and studios in Denver’s art districts will leave their doors open after-hours to welcome the curious with wine, beer, special exhibits, demonstrations and music. Your options:

Santa Fe Art District, along Santa Fe drive from Alameda to 12th Avenue. Suggestion: Suggestion: DJ Bob Jovi hosts the 45 RPM Dance Party in the alley at ReCreative, 765 Santa Fe Drive, at 9 p.m.

River North Art District. This one is more spread out. Here’s a gallery list. Suggestion: Kidrobot is hosting an event, "Show Me the Munny," with more than 30 custom pieces from Denver and across the country for silent auction in support of a local art charity, Arthyve, and the artists. Tennyson Street Cultural District, along Tennyson Street from 39th to 45th Avenue. Here’s a map. And while you’re at it, you can take a First Friday tour of Historic Elitch Theatre, 4655 W. 37th Ave., from 6-7:30 p.m. or 7:30-9 p.m. Tickets are $15.
