The 13th Floor Haunted House will have new, larger scaring spot for the 2017 Halloween season.

Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group announced Tuesday it's moving its haunted house to a 30,000-square-foot warehouse in Elyria-Swansea, about a mile and a half from the previous location. The Denver-based company hopes to have 13th Floor open at its new location Sept. 22.

The 13th Floor is moving in Elyria-Swansea from 4120 Brighton Blvd. to 3400 E. 52nd Ave. The new warehouse is about 10,000 square feet larger than the previous location and comes with room for a larger waiting area and an improved parking situation. The new location will also feature new attractions and characters, according to a news release.

“We are thrilled to move 13th Floor into our new location and take the haunted house experience to the next level,” said Chris Stafford, partner at Thirteenth Floor, in a statement. “The layout and added space creates a more convenient flow of visitors. As far as choosing a new location, it was important to us that we stay in Denver and support the growth of the city.”

In addition to the 13th Floor, the Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group owns and operates The Asylum haunted house at 6100 E. 39th Ave. in Northeast Park Hill. Both attractions were ranked last year on the list of “13 Haunted Houses So Crazy You’ll Wish You Brought a Change of Underwear.”
