Good day to you. At this hour, there are patches of slate blue in a grey sky and the mountains are wreathed in mist.

The high in Denver today is 76 degrees, so things are heating up, according to the National Weather Service. There’s a 30 percent chance of showers this morning, growing to a 40 percent chance of rain with scattered thunderstorms this afternoon.

There will be a chance of thunderstorms each afternoon throughout the week, with temperatures gradually warming into the low 80s by the weekend, NWS predicts.
