Brian Pattison, 31, has been convicted of murder and arson. He was found guilty of murdering the 29-year-old man whose body was found in an apartment above Rosenberg's Bagels on East 26th Avenue during a fire.

Pattison shot and killed Shane Richardson sometime between April 30 and May 2 of 2016, according to the Denver District Attorney's Office, and then set fire to the home on May 2, resulting in damage to the bagel shop as well.

Pattison, of Colorado Springs, is a tattoo artist and had ostensibly gone to Richardson's apartment to complete a tattoo, according to the DA's office. He was later seen exiting the building with the victim's personal belongings.

Pattison hasn't yet been sentenced.
