Eclipse time for Denver: It peaks at 11:47 a.m. and skies are mostly clear today

Good morning. The high in Denver today is 88 and it looks like skies will be mostly clear this morning, with cloud cover below 40 percent in Denver, according to the National Weather Service.

The eclipse begins around 10:23 a.m. and ends at 1:14 p.m. It will peak around 11:47 a.m., when close to 93 percent of the sun is obscured by the moon. If you want to attend an event, there are a few around Denver. Wear glasses.

Traffic to Wyoming already was backing up early this morning on Interstate 25, according to NWS.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon along and south of Interstate 70. The rest of the week should stick around the 80s with varying chances of storms.
