Fans of Montreal-style bagels, rejoice. Boulder's Woodgrain Bagels is coming to Denver.
The original location is only a few months old, but owner David Bowen is already looking to open multiple Denver locations, Eater reports. The first will be at 7559 E. Academy Blvd. in Lowry, formerly home to Troy Guard's Lucky Cat.
For those who are unfamiliar: Montreal-style bagels are wood-fired, as opposed to boiled, and are sweeter and denser, with a larger hole in the center.
Woodgrain's Boulder menu includes a variety of sandwiches, including an avocado smash and a fried chicken sandwich, plus other breakfast options like an omelette and huevos rancheros. They also serve that Quebecois classic: poutine.
