Welp, internet, you’ve flattered us so much that our excitement can only be expressed in gif form.

You took Andy’s coverage of Denver’s cat-declawing ban, which was officially passed last night, and skyrocketed it to Reddit’s front page. Even better? You took our image of Councilman Jolon Clark’s cat, Kit, and Photoshop-battled to the death.

And meow we present to you an excerpt of Kit’s newfound fame.

Councilman Clark Responds:

“I thought it was the greatest thing ever,” Clark told Denverite. While he says the most important thing is that cats across the city have new protections, he’s also pretty jazzed that Kit has found some internet fame.

He said he and his staff were well aware of the buzz. He already has framed printouts in his office.
