It's going to be 73 degrees in Denver today with mostly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service, but it won't last.

On Friday, temperatures are expected to drop to 65 with a chance of rain, followed by a 40 percent chance of rain or snow on Friday night. The weekend should be clear but a bit cooler.

In the mountains, snow beginning this evening could continue through Friday, dropping up to 2 feet near Steamboat Springs and "significant accumulations" in the mountains closer to us. Joel Gratz of OpenSnow expects 6 to 12 inches for most mountains.
