Among the massive projects rising out of RiNo throughout 2017 is The Source Hotel, and as we enter 2018, it's getting close to completion.
The new building dwarfs the 1880s former foundry that has housed The Source since 2013, but when it's done, developers say, the eight-story hotel will be a modern complement to its sister space.
The finished hotel will have 100 rooms, three restaurants, a rooftop with incredible views and a pool, and a market hall featuring New Belgium’s first Denver small-batch brewery and craft-focused vendors. The rooftop will also be home to 50 New Belgium oak barrels and a restaurant called The Woods. The other restaurant, Smök, is a barbecue joint helmed by chef Bill Espiricueta. It'll have indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the courtyard and market hall.
It's too early to name the restaurant that will occupy a large main-floor space, but we do know The Source Hotel is slated to open in May 2018, and we took a walk through to get a sense of what's to come. Take a look:
