Having already taken over all the available real estate around 1111 Lincoln St., Stoney's Bar and Grill looked elsewhere for more room to grow and found it in Uptown.

Owner Stoney Jesseph snatched up the space on the corner of 17th Street and Park Avenue and, nearly two years since Argyll left that spot, Stoney's Uptown Joint is open.

The space at 1035 E. 17th Ave. underwent some pretty big renovations in those years. Mostly noticeably, the original greenhouse-like front came down, though Stoney's replaced it with its own version complete with glass garage doors.

The Uptown outpost is much smaller than Stoney's Bar and Grill, which at a capacity of 600 people is sort of absurdly big. Stoney's Uptown Joint can hold 250.

The menu Uptown will be a little different, too — focusing on deli sandwiches and flatbreads instead of the usual burgers and bar fare on the menu on Lincoln.

Hours at Stoney's Uptown Joint are 10 a.m. to noon Sunday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday.
