Denver police investigate fatal shooting in Capitol Hill

Kevin J. Beaty/DenveriteDenver police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead on the 1400 block of Ogden Street on Tuesday night.
The shooting happened not far from the Ogden Theatre, which sits on Colfax Avenue at Ogden Street. Police said in an email Wednesday the shooting occurred just after 7:30 p.m.
Police tweeted on Monday night they’re investigating the incident as a homicide. The victim, an adult male, was transported to Denver Health Medical Center, according to a Denver police tweet sent at 8:25 p.m. A show at the Ogden Theatre began at 8 p.m.
Police said there were no suspects at the time and urged anyone with information related to the shooting to contact Crime Stoppers at 720.913.STOP.
No additional details were released Wednesday morning. A spokesperson for Denver police said the victim’s name will be released by the Office of the Medical Examiner.
