Denver police investigate bank robbery at Broadway and 2nd Avenue

Denver police on Friday afternoon responded to a report of a robbery at the KeyBank on Broadway near 2nd Avenue.
A Denver police spokesperson confirmed to Denverite that police were on-scene at 200 N. Broadway after a call about a robbery came in at about 3 p.m. The spokesperson said there was no suspect information and no arrests had been made in connection with the incident. There were no reported injuries.
A witness also told Denverite the robbery took place at about 3 p.m.
The witness provided a statement to police and said she saw a person passing what she believed was an envelope to a teller, who later assisted the witness with her own transaction. Afterward, the witnesses said she was approached by a bank staffer who told her the building was being locked because the bank had just been robbed.
The spokesperson said police were working on getting a suspect description. He said no additional information was available.
