You won’t have to golf to go.

When City Park Golf Course reopens this spring (or possibly later), it will have a view similar to the iconic one seen from City Park across the street: the Denver skyline with the Rockies peeking out behind it.

Except this view comes with service. A full bar and restaurant, as a matter of fact. A pretty big one.

Consider this a public service announcement that you don't have to be a golfer to chill at this city-owned spot. You don't even have to like golf. But if you like eating or whiskey-ing in front of something pretty, consider the clubhouse a new option.

Here are the specs, according to Denver Parks and Recreation:

  • 50 to 60 tables on the patio
  • a bar with 14 stools plus a seated bar area and a lounge
  • two dining rooms with 144 tables between them

The clubhouse is off of 23rd Avenue between Colorado Boulevard and York Street. Fore!
