Now that CRUSH is gone, the RiNo Art District will launch a week-long art and mural festival
Art RiNo will happen Sept. 5-11.

Kevin J. Beaty/DenveriteLast year, CRUSH Walls founder Robin Munro announced the week-long mural festival that had taken over walls all over the River North area annually for over a decade was leaving the arts district, leaving some wondering what the future of arts in the area would be.
While CRUSH is still up in the air after several women made sexual assault allegations against Munro, the arts district has wasted little time planning up its next big event. RiNo will host Art RiNo, a new arts festival that will run from Sept. 5-11, in tandem with the Westword Music Showcase, which will be held Sept. 9-10 in the arts district. The festival will include arts events for all ages and six new murals.
“This festival was created in response to a ton of feedback the District heard about a desire for a large-scale event that recognized ALL the different types of art happening in the district,” RiNo said in a statement.
