As we wait for the city of Denver to finish counting votes, the Denver Zoo has a final result to report: the name of its new baby sloth.

More than 3,000 votes were cast in the baby sloth naming contest.

The pup, born earlier this year, will be named Wicket, after the brave young Ewok from "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi." Wicket will join his older brother, Wookie, though they'll have way less to worry about than battling the evil forces of the Empire. Instead they will lounge and be on display to zoogoers.

The four-week naming contest gave people a chance to vote between three naming options chosen by the zoo.

The name Wicket ultimately beat out naming options Rain and Cappuccino.

"Your generous donations ensure that Wicket will receive world-class care as he grows up in his Tropical Discovery home," the Denver Zoo wrote on social media.

Baby Wicket, Brother Wookie, Mama Charlotte and Papa Elliot are all part of the Tropical Discovery Habitat at the Zoo where guests can visit the sloth family.
