The trains that ferry people between the terminal and concourses at Denver International Airport are operating as normal Wednesday following a day of running at limited capacity.

Airport officials announced Tuesday night that a routine inspection revealed damage to "a small switch plate on the running surface for the train between Concourses B & C." That problem is now resolved.

Shuttle buses ran throughout the day Tuesday to help people reach their gates, though many travelers posted on social media about delays and shared pictures of areas crowded with waiting passengers.

Operations were back to normal as of 3:50 a.m., according to the airport's account on X, formerly Twitter. It said it conducted a complete inspection of the train's running surface prior to resuming normal service.
