Looking to learn to snowboard and skeptical of blowing money on lessons?

This weekend, Denverites will have a chance to study snowboarding for free at Ruby Hill Rail Yard in Ruby Hill Park.

Winter Park Resort Snowboard School teachers will be on site to work with students.

There will be 60 sets of gear — boots, bindings, board, helmets — for guests. And conditions could be even better if some of that snowfall we're expecting Thursday sticks around.

Too scared of snowboarding? The tubing lane will also be open, with free tubes to use.

The fun runs from Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

After that, the Ruby Hill Rail Yard will close for the season.
