Here's an easy one: Admission is free all day at the Denver Botanic Gardens.

It closes at 8 p.m., so you still have plenty of time today to stop by 1007 York St. and smell the roses, waterlilies, peonies, delphiniums... you get the idea. (But, unfortunately, not that stinky corpse flower.)

Tasty Colfax celebrates the Bluebird District's venues and restaurants tonight from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The "extended block party" spans York Street to Colorado Boulevard on East Colfax Ave.

Here are all the participating restaurants:
Annie’s Café
Chow Urban Grill
Denver Biscuit Company
Fat Sully’s
The Good Son
Goosetown Tavern
Heidi’s Deli
Hooked on Colfax
The Humble Pie Store
Lula Rose General Store
Mezcal Café
New World Cheese
Southside Kitchen
Stella’s
Steve’s Snappin Dogs
Tommy’s Thai
To the Wind Bistro

When you check in, you'll get a button that gets you samples and drink specials at participating restaurants.

Twelve musicians and artists will be on the scene to provide entertainment.

Tickets are $30. You can purchase them online or at one of the three check-in locations: The Good Son, 2550 E. Colfax Ave., GroundSwell, 3121 E. Colfax Ave., or Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs, 3525 E. Colfax Ave.

Over at Coohill's, 1400 Wewatta St., the Beats on the Creek series brings live music to the banks of Cherry Creek.

The Moderators will be playing classic rock covers on the bridge in front of the restaurant this evening from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Fun fact about this band: It's made up of CEOs and presidents of Denver companies who play for charity.

If you want to enjoy the music from the restaurant's terrace, consider sitting down for $50 pre-fixe meal offered special for Beats on the Creek.
