Attention Denver geek-culture enthusiasts! Start planning your cosplay now. Pop Culture Classroom, the education-based nonprofit behind Denver Comic Con, has announced the dates for the 2017 convention: June 21 through July 2 at the Colorado Convention Center.

This year's Denver Comic Con drew a record attendance of more than 114,900 guests -- up 13,400 from 2015 and a significant jump from the 27,700 fans who attended the inaugural convention, just five years ago.

"2016 was a blast, and of course the growth of the event is exciting. It’s an honor to be able to bring such popular guests, comic artists and programs to the Denver community. We’re already working to make the 2017 line-up the best yet," Convention Director Christina Angel said in a statement.

Last year’s family-friendly convention featured more than 300 hours of panels and 9,000 square feet of educational activities for kids and teens, not to mention such revered guests as Marvel Comics’ Stan Lee, Game of Thrones star Lena Headey and Karate Kid Ralph Macchio.

Tickets for the 2017 Con go on sale this fall.
