A man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Denver

The Denver Police Department reported on Twitter at 4 a.m. that an officer shot and killed a man in the Baker neighborhood.

The incident occurred at West Ellsworth and Fox streets around 3 a.m. An investigation is still ongoing.

The Denver Post reports that police were called to a house there on a report “of a wanted party.” When they arrived, they found a man armed with a knife, used a Taser and eventually shot him when he continued to advance.

No officers were injured. The man's identity has not been released.
