Police in Boulder fatally shot a man at Champions Center, a facility on the north side of CU-Boulder's Folsom Field, according to the Boulder Daily Camera.
A man had been seen "menacing people with a machete" on campus prior to the shooting, which began with an "altercation" in the center's parking lot, 9News reported.
Officers from the Boulder Police Department and campus police responded, but it's unclear which officer or officers fired their weapons, according to 9News.
The shooting happened in a stairwell, according to the Camera. Several hours later, a second scare that the rattled the campus, but the university has issued the "all clear" as of 2:07 p.m.
