Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips leaves game on stretcher

Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips exited Denver's game against the San Diego Chargers on a stretcher with 9:10 remaining in the second quarter Sunday.

A San Diego Chargers player appeared to accidentally collide with Phillips as Broncos cornerback Bradley Roby returned a tipped pass for a touchdown.

Phillips left the game, and it's unclear what — if any — injuries he sustained. CBS reported Phillips was taken to a local hospital and said that he was awake, alert and moving his extremities.
