Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips provided an apparent injury update via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon:

Phillips was referring to the sideline collision he was involved in Sunday. Chargers running back Melvin Gordon accidentally ran over Phillips in the second quarter. Phillips was loaded onto a stretcher and taken in an ambulance to the hospital.

Phillips was released from the hospital Sunday night, and on Wednesday, he resumed his normal coaching duties. The 69-year-old thanked fans for their well wishes on Twitter. He also let them know that he was "lucky" because he "fractured 1 rib(have 23 more good ones)."

The message was accompanied by a GIF of someone cutting ribs — the latest in a long line of phenomenal dad tweets Phillips has fired off from his account.

There was this gem four days before the Broncos' season opener against Carolina:

He likes to make puns, too:

And, of course, you can't forget Phillips' documentation of the Broncos' trip to the White House this summer:

God bless this man.
