The Broncos placed outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware on the injured reserve Wednesday due to a back injury that has reduced his playing time this season.
But Ware took to Instagram Saturday to demonstrate his commitment to the game.
“There’s still fire in my heart to do work out here. And if you don’t know what work I’m referring to, you’ll see this ’17 season,” Ware wrote. “‘Can’t never count me out; count me in…..#94.”
The post has more than 6,500 likes and 170 comments on Instagram.
Ware is in his 12th NFL season and his contract with the Broncos is set to expire at the end of 2016.
