Five Denver homes that sold for way under their asking price last week

Denver real estate listing prices aren’t iron-clad rules – they’re more like suggestions. If you need some inspiration to pay less for your new home, read on for the top five underbids last week in Denver.

About 41 percent of the people who bought a home paid less than its asking price between March 5 and 12. The differences ranged from $350 less than asking to a full $100,000 less.

  • 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 8,296 square feet
  • Sold for $1,110,000, 7.5 percent below asking price

  • Sold for $401,000, 6.93 percent under asking price

  • Sold for $630,000, 8 percent under asking price

2379 Ivanhoe Street, sold for $99,900 below list price

  • 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 4,156 square feet
  • Sold for $1,100,000, 8.32 percent under asking price

3267 Stuart Street, sold for $85,000 below list price

  • 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 2,176 square feet
  • Sold for $840,000, 9.13 percent under asking price
