The high for Denver today is 77 degrees and gusty winds are expected. A “red flag” fire warning is in effect for the northeastern plains and a fire weather watch for the foothills, meaning dry and warm conditions are ripe for fire. Temperatures are “much warmer,” than normal, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are expected to peak this weekend, with highs of 80 on both Saturday and Sunday, before falling back to the high 60s next week.
