Travelers on the A Line to Denver International Airport should expect delays of an hour in both directions through most of today, May 11.

Update: Service was restored as of 3 p.m. Trains are running every 30 minutes now; the regular 15-minute service should resume later today.

RTD says a train damaged power lines, causing the outage. The arm that draws power from overhead lines to the train somehow damaged the power lines near Chambers Road, according to RTD.

The incident has knocked out train service on part of the line, forcing RTD to run buses between Central Park Station to the airport. Delays were expected to take several more hours as of 11 a.m.
