A supplier of high-end kitchen and bath appliances is ordering up a three-story office building where a defunct hamburger joint currently sits on South Broadway.

Roth Living plans to knock down the former home of Griff’s Hamburgers this summer and open its new office and showroom in 2018, said Denise Manu, vice president of marketing for Roth.

Roth has already sold its current home in Aurora near Quebec Street and Interstate 70 ahead of its relocation, Manu said Tuesday.

The showroom in Denver would be located on the first floor of the new building at 742 S. Broadway. About 35 Roth employees would work on the second level and the third would be available for another company to lease.

"We just want to integrate into the community," Manu said. She hopes employees will take advantage of the nearby Interstate 25 and Broadway transit station.

Colorado-based Arch 11 is working on the design of the building. Because there's "not a whole lot" of building character in that area of South Broadway, the company is working on a building that "speaks to the level of craft" of the high-end products Roth sells, said Nathan Gulash, an architect working on the project.
