Crash and vehicle fire leaves one dead, three injured on I-25 north of downtown Denver

A collision and vehicle fire left one person dead and three injured north of downtown Denver, temporarily closing northbound Interstate 25 near 50th Avenue on Thursday morning.

Denver police say one person was killed, three were transported with injuries and one refused treatment. Denver Fire Department described it as a collision involving a dump truck and an auto, which appeared to be a passenger vehicle.

The crash initially shut down northbound I-25 but two lanes were reopened as of 11:20 a.m.
