Southern Land Company opened its first luxury apartment development in Denver, Centric LoHi, on 18th Street and Central Avenue this week.

The development has 42 efficiencies, 50 studios, 140 one-bedroom apartments and 70 two-bedroom apartments to choose from. One-bedroom apartments range from 682 to 935 square feet while two-bedroom apartments range from 1,113 to 1,186 square feet .

Studio rents start at $1,489 and at the upper end, one two-bedroom floor plan costs $3,235. Prices could increase or decrease depending on what happens in the broader Denver market, said Andy Ecton, marketing manager for Southern Land Company.

But all that rent buys a lot of different activities for residents, according to Ecton. Actually, there will be programming daily.

"The events would be like free massages on a Friday night, movie nights, live music with drinks, happy hour and pet events,” he explained.

There's also a pretty long list of amenities too --  a saltwater pool, a hot tub, a fitness center and a pet grooming salon. Plus, residents can socialize in one of the many courtyards and club rooms.

With a name like Centric LoHi, it's no surprise that location is an important part of this development. Ecton says this spot will make residents happy with all the local restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Plus eventually, residents will be able to walk downstairs to a restaurant. The Bindery, from local chef Linda Hampsten Fox, and a Italian café called Marcella’s are expected to open this fall.

Residents can still have space for a car in this building though. There will be a garage with 332 spaces and 20 surface spaces according to Ecton.

If you’re interested in these apartments, the leasing office is now open at 2525 18th Street.
