Travelers making their way to Denver International Airport have faced plenty of obstacles this morning, but things appeared to be improving by 9 a.m.
Delays on the concourse train resolved:
The train that runs between terminals at DIA hit heavy delays due to a technical issue this morning. You, train, are delaying the departure of yourself. Technicians had to drive the trains manually for some time.
As of 8:30 a.m., the concourse train was back to normal operations, but traffic in the airport remained heavy, per DIA.
Security lines were running from 20 to 40 minutes for those without TSA PreCheck. Try the "bridge" security line on the upper deck if you don't have PreCheck
If you're parking, try the Mt. Elbert Shuttle Lot, as Pikes Peak is full.
A Line delays resolved:
Meanwhile, the train to the plane was not running the full route for about 90 minutes, but the problem has been resolved. Minor delays were expected through about 10 a.m., though.
While the train was down, A Line passengers were bused between stations due to "an incident at 40th and Airport," RTD said.
Officer Ken Forrest of the Aurora Police Department said that a pedestrian was injured by the train at that station, but was not sure what exactly happened.
The pedestrian had only "minor injuries" and was up and walking afterward, Forrest said.
The train had resumed full service as of 8:50 a.m., according to RTD.
Driving delays:
Traffic on Interstate 70 was flowing nicely as of 8:50 a.m. on traffic cameras.
Interstate 270 is open again. It was closed due to a multi-vehicle crash, which The Denver Post reports involved five vehicles.
