The day has arrived. Everything you love about The Cherry Cricket is available in downtown Denver, starting today.
Unless, of course, everything you loved is just the cute little 70-year-old space, in which case that's not true. But let's plow forward with the assumption that you're in this for the burgers.
The new outpost is essentially "Cherry Cricket, but bigger."
The new space at 2200 Blake Street is -- as you know if you ever went to Breck on Blake -- much larger than the original Cherry Cricket. It'll offer an expanded menu with more beer, wine and cocktail options, plus a late-night menu served until 3 a.m.
Friendly warning: That does not mean you can drink there until 3 a.m., not even if you order your drink at 1:59 a.m. The restaurant needs to be clear of alcohol by 2 a.m. and will close down all but an area in the front where they'll serve the late-night menu to stay or to go.
The Cherry Cricket Ballpark will be open from 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 11:00 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Daily happy hours will be from 3 to 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. to close.
