Ben MoonModest Mouse is stepping into the Friday night headlining spot at Velorama this August.
The originally scheduled headliner, Glass Animals, was forced to cancel after drummer Joe Seaward was in a life-threatening bike accident while the band was on tour in Dublin, as The Know first reported.
In a note shared on twitter, frontman Dave Bayley said Seaward had a broken leg and a complex skull fracture that damaged the part of his brain responsible for speech. The band has canceled all of its shows while Seaward recovers.
Modest Mouse will close out the first day of Velorama, Aug. 17, topping a lineup that includes Slow Caves, Hop Along and The Kills.
Single-day tickets are $50 for Friday or Saturday and $10 for Sunday. A three-day general admission pass is $100.
