The terrifying trend continues.

A car somehow made its way onto Denver's primary walking and biking path Wednesday.

Again.

A black hatchback with a busted front bumper sits upright on the pedestrian side of the Cherry Creek Trail at Stout Street.

"(The) initial investigation appears that one driver failed to stop at the red light at Speer Blvd. and Champa St., crashing into a vehicle that was traveling northbound on Speer," a Denver Police Department spokesperson wrote in an email to Denverite. "The vehicle it struck left the roadway and landed on the bike path below Speer Blvd. The driver was cited for careless driving resulting in injury and failure to obey a traffic signal. Both drivers were injured. At this time, I do not know the extent of their injuries."

At this point, cars landing or nearly landing on the city's bike-and-pedestrian highway below Speer Boulevard is a common pastime. There was this time, that time, and this time, to name just three.
